Another area where the Galaxy S24 Ultra beats the iPhone 15 Pro Max is in internal storage speeds, with a 75 percent performance difference
The Galaxy S24 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro Max use varying internal memory standards, with Samsung’s flagship relying on UFS technology, whereas Apple employs NVMe storage in all of its devices. Irrespective of which variant is used, both deliver fast read and write speeds, but it is the Galaxy S24 Ultra that takes the ‘win’ in this column because, in a new benchmark, its storage is shown to be up to 75 percent faster, not to mention the device touts lower latency.Galaxy S24 Ultra can reach 2.5GB/s read speeds with its next-generation UFS storage, with the iPhone 15 Pro Max considerably lagging
In the Jazz Disk Bench, sakitech shows that the Galaxy S24 Ultra one-ups the iPhone 15 Pro Max in yet another category by obtaining 2,547MB/s in sequential read speeds, compared to its rival’s 1,450MB/s throughput, making it a 75 percent difference. Unfortunately, the same performance gap cannot be replicated in the write test, with the Galaxy S24 Ultra obtaining 1,442MB/s data transfer speeds, with its competitor in close pursuit at 1,257MB/s, marking a measly 15 percent difference.
