NewsHubГоссекретарь США Джон Керри заявил, что не считает страницу избранного президента Дональда Трампа в сети микроблогов Twitter хорошим способом коммуникации по международным политическим вопросам, сообщает Радио Свобода со ссылкой на телеканал ABC News.
«Я не делаю заявления о международной политики в Twitter. Не думаю, что 140 символов позволяют вам адекватно справляться со сложными выборами, к которым мы прибегаем», — сказал Керри, отвечая на вопрос относительно заявлений избранного президента Трампа по таким международным темам, как Россия или Тайвань.
Госсекретарь выразил надежду, что власти США выберут другой тип коммуникации. «Однако это зависит от новой администрации», — подытожил Керри.
Ранее сообщалось, что избранный президент США Дональд Трамп раскритиковал сомневающихся в пользе развития отношений с Россией.
«Иметь хорошие отношения с Россией — это хорошо, а не плохо. Только невежды или глупцы считают, что это плохо. У нас и так достаточно проблем во всем мире, чтобы зарабатывать себе ещё одну», — написал избранный президент у себя в микроблоге в «Твиттере».

Укрепление границ НАТО: в Польшу прибыли солдаты США

NewsHubПервые 250 солдат третьей танковой бригады США в субботу, 7 января, прибыли в польский Вроцлав в рамках миссии, цель которой — укрепленияе восточных границ НАТО, передает DW.
Согласно сообщению, военных разместят в городе Жагань на западе страны. В целом в Польше и странах Балтии должны разместить четыре тысячи солдат — все они являются частью военной операции США Atlantic Resolve (Атлантическая решимость).
Танковые подразделения, которые будут размещены в Польше, в дальнейшем смогут привлекать к разнообразным учениям в других странах. В 2017 году также пройдут военные учения НАТО в самой Польше, а также в Литве, Латвии и Эстонии.
Заявленной целью пребывания американских военных в восточноевропейских странах-членах Альянса является сдерживание возможной агрессии России и обеспечение стабильности в Восточной Европе.
Напомним, в городе Бремерхафен (Германия) разгрузили военную техник у в рамках размещения в Восточной Европе 3-й бронетанковой бригадной боевой группы 4-й пехотной дивизии США.
В Бремерхафене бронетехнику армии США погрузят в железнодорожные вагоны, после чего отправят к месту назначения через территорию Германии и Польши.
Расширение военного контингента в этом регионе вызвало резкую критику Кремля и стало ответом на обеспокоенность европейских союзников США по НАТО «агрессивным курсом» России.

Vingoo wants to serve its fresh squeezed OJ from a vending machine in the US

NewsHubVending machines have been around for ages, providing a convenient way to obtain goods, at all hours, without the need to interact with a human. As time has passed and technology has evolved, vending machines have gone from a being a stamp distribution machine to offering up delicious items like candies and sandwiches. But what if you could grab something truly fresh like maybe a freshly squeezed cup of orange juice?
Vingoo has been offering up cups of fresh squeezed orange juice in China for the past few years, serving up nearly two million cups a month. The company is now aiming to bring the fresh squeezed goodness to the United States by introducing its vending machines to the US later this year.
The vending machine can squeeze a cup of orange juice in about 45 seconds and will arrive in the spring somewhere in Southern California. Vingoo has not announced how much a cup of OJ will cost, but this should be a fairly interesting addition to the already more complex vending machines that are making their way to market.

Apple releases free Chinese New Year Nianhua folk art wallpapers for Mac, iPhone, and iPad

To celebrate the upcoming new year, Apple releases five free » Nianhua » folk art-inspired wallpapers for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. All of the images were created by Chinese artists using Apple hardware, such as the MacBook Pro, iMac, iPad Pro, and Apple Pencil. The software used for the creations? Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Savage Interactive Procreate.
«Discover and enjoy new interpretations of traditional Chinese New Year Nianhua folk art. Using Apple products with various apps, five young Chinese artists reinvent classic motifs to deliver new year blessings with a contemporary twist,» says Apple.

Microsoft shows off a new user experience in its OneNote UWP app

NewsHubLast September, the Microsoft OneNote team joined users at Reddit on an Ask Me Anything session and some pretty interesting info was shared. It ranged from the confusion regarding the existence of two OneNote versions on Windows 10, the desktop version and the UWP app, to what we should expect in the future for the UWP OneNote app.
The team explained that OneNote for desktop has been under development for about 13 years and has evolved around users’ and businesses’ needs. But as it matured, many users started to find it difficult to use, despite its power. So now, harnessing a more modern code base provided by Windows 10 and the Universal Windows Platform, the team stated their goal is to:
Furthermore, hints to new OneNote user experience and interface were given by the team. Their main goals here are to unify the user interface among platforms and to develop a new experience which could give users more accessibility and consistency across platforms. Also, they are working to get the Android version on par with its Windows and iOS counterparts.
But now, according to a tweet from William Devereux, OneNote Product Manager Leader, those feature updates are about to be delivered to the public. In fact, they were already released to Windows Insider Fast Ring yesterday:

ДСНС каже, що контролює ситуацію з погіршенням погоди

NewsHubПро це заявив керівник Державної служби з надзвичайних ситуацій Микола Чечоткін під час зустрічі з президентом Петром Порошенком, повідомляє прес-центр очільника держави.
Чечоткін зазначив, що у Одеській області було ухвалено рішення щодо припинення руху автотранспорту на всіх автомобільних шляхах області з 18:00 7 січня.
Також ДСНС, разом з Міністерством регіонального розвитку, будівництва та житлово-комунального господарства, була залучена до ліквідації великої аварії тепломережі в Приморському районі міста Одеса. Там 35 будинків залишається без тепла. На місці аварії працюють кілька аварійних бригад.
«У решті областей України, за словами Миколи Чечоткіна, ситуація стабільна і під постійним контролем ДСНС. В обласних центрах громадський транспорт працює в звичайному режимі. На дороги місцевого значення по всій Україні виведено три з половиною тисячі одиниць спецтехніки, а регіональні штаби працюють цілодобово», — наголошується у відомстві.

"ДНР" забороняє ввозити понад 50 кг продуктів з української сторони, — ОБСЄ

Зазначається, що в листопаді 2016 року максимально допустима вага продуктів, дозволена для ввезення на окуповані території, становила 75 кг на одну людину.
Тим часом нещодавно представники ОБСЄ перебували на одному з блокпостів «ДНР», де зафіксували кілька автомобілів у черзі на в’їзд і виїзд.
«Озброєний представник «ДНР» розповів місії, що кожен громадянин не може провезти більше 50 кг продуктів до підконтрольних «ДНР» районів», — наголосили у відомстві.

Суд дозволив затримати Януковича і Захарченка

NewsHubПечерський районний суд Києва дав дозвіл на затримання екс-президента України Віктора Януковича і колишнього міністра внутрішніх справ Віталія Захарченка у так званій «церковній справі». Про це сказано у відповідних постановах рішень суду.
Так, 3 січня суд за клопотанням слідчого Генеральної прокуратури дозволив затримати Януковича, прийняв аналогічне рішення щодо Захарченка, а також дав дозвіл на затримання Валерія Коряка — колишнього начальника київської міліції.

Panasonic looks to Android OS for new car navigation, enterainment system

NewsHubThis Android-based Panasonic head unit runs Google navigation, of course.
The software behind a car’s navigation head unit may be a mystery to most people, but with Panasonic ‘s concept system, shown here at CES , its Android OS looks pretty obvious. The interface uses Android’s tiled theme on its home page, and shows Google satellite maps for navigation.
Panasonic put the system on display during CES 2017, and highlighted its partnership with Google for the Android Nougat OS. Behind the scenes, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 automotive-grade chip powers the system.
The home screen on this concept infotainment system reflects that of Android Auto.
Navigation head units in cars have become commonplace, but automakers and equipment suppliers are always looking at how to keep these systems up to speed with consumer electronics, which experience much faster product cycles than cars. One way of maintaining parity would be to install powerful processors in the dashboard, with software systems that could be updated through a data connection, much as smartphones get continual updates.
Panasonic’s use of Android and Qualcomm’s chip allows for continual updates, so that an existing car could give its owner new features. However, updates both to apps and the core system would be tightly controlled by the automaker.
The demonstration at CES showed a system that worked with smartphone speed, and allowed quick pinching and zooming of the map screen. Audio sources included local and online streaming sources, just as Android-based phones do.
And the system need not look like Android, as an automaker could use a skin for the interface. iPhone users won’t be left out, either, as the system supports Apple CarPlay.
A Panasonic spokesperson said this system will be production-ready in 2019, but would not specify any car models where it might appear.
