When Zebra took the stage, they were greeted with a raucous Long Island welcome. They went on to perform their entire breakthrough studio album in its entirety. It included such songs as „Tell Me What You Want,“ „One More Chance,“ as well as a cover of „Slow Down“ by The Beatles. They continued with „As I Said Before“ and „Who’s Behind the Door,“ the latter of which was the song that front-man The Verdict Despite the snowy weather, Vixen and Zebra were able to heat things up at Mulcahy’s Pub and Concert Hall, by giving their fans a night of rock music to remember. Both bands deserve a round of applause for a job well done, and they are worth seeing live whenever they are in town. Vixen was able to warm up the stage with The Go-Go’s „We Got the Beat. “ The inclusion of Duran Duran’s „Hungry Like The Wolf“ in their set was an added bonus, and they tipped their hat to British musician Joe Jackson by singing „Is She Really Going Out with Him? “ They had the audience clapping along to „What I Like About You“ by The Romantics. They also covered Joan Jett’s „I Hate Myself for Loving You“ and Blondie’s „Call Me“ and they did both songs justice. When Zebra took the stage, they were greeted with a raucous Long Island welcome. Other noteworthy tunes from that collection included „When You Get There,“ „Take Your Fingers from My Hair,“ „Don’t Walk Away“ and „The La Song. “ Most impressive was the fact that Randy Jackson solely wrote all the songs on that debut CD, with the exception of „Slow Down. “ Their show was proof that their inductions into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame and the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame were indeed based on merit. Despite the snowy weather, Vixen and Zebra were able to heat things up at Mulcahy’s Pub and Concert Hall, by giving their fans a night of rock music to remember. Both bands deserve a round of applause for a job well done, and they are worth seeing live whenever they are in town.
