With Tropical Storm Cindy anticipated to hit the Gulf coast Wednesday night, airlines are offering to re-book flights that may be affected by the storm.
Here’s what they’re offering:
STORM WATCH: Tropical Storm Cindy expected to hit Texas-Louisiana border overnight
Southwest Airlines is offering passengers flying out of Houston and New Orleans today and Thursday to re-book their flights to their same original cities for no charge. Flights must be re-booked within 14 days of the original flight.
Spirit Airlines will waive fare differences and modification charges for customers flying to, from and through Houston and New Orleans. Flights scheduled to travel from those cities today and Thursday are eligible to be re-booked.

United Airlines is allowing travelers from the following cities to re-book flights scheduled today or tomorrow from these cities: Houston and Beaumont in Texas; Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles and New Orleans in Louisiana; Panama City, Pensacola and Destin in Florida; and Mobile, Alabama. Flights scheduled today or tomorrow from these cities have to be re-booked by Sunday.

JetBlue Airlines is waiving changes and cancellation fees for flights scheduled today and Thursday to and traveling from Houston and New Orleans. Customers have until Monday to re-book flights.
American Airlines is allowing passengers flying to, from or through these cities: Baton Rogue, Lafayette, Lake Charles and New Orleans in Louisiana; Destin and Pensacola in Florida; Houston and Beaumont in Texas; and Mobile, Alabama. The tickets have to be purchased before June 20 and travel on June 22. Passengers have until June 25 to re-book.
Delta Airlines won’t charge fees for customers traveling to and from Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Monroe, New Orleans and Shreveport in Louisiana; and Houston.
Anyone flying today or tomorrow should contact their airline to get the most up-to-date information on how the weather is impacting flight times.
