Beth Wolff, founder and chairman of Beth Wolff Realtors Real Living, assumed the presidency of the Houston Symphony League at a recent celebration at the River Oaks Country Club. The theme for her 2017-2018 term will be „Soaring to New Heights.“
„It’s an honor to be involved with this world-class symphony and all the wonderful league volunteers, “ Wolff said.
The league was created by legendary Ima Hogg in 1937 to support the city’s then fledgling symphony in development, education and fundraising. Wolff’s long resume of community service is deep in all three areas.
Among the family members on hand for the celebration were Wolff’s sister, Marie Kaplan, her daughter Cynthia Peatross – who came in from Shreveport, Louisiana for the occasion -and her son and daughter-in-law Ed and Katy Wolff

Group founder Fritz McDonald is building on the premise that these areas will provide stimulating activities, exercise and socialization for seniors.
Knight took a table at the group’s recent „jazz luncheon“ at the St. Regis, hosting a group that included his parents Elaine and Fella Knight.

Beene serves on that group’s advisory board and reported that more than 900 people attended raising more than $446,000 at the Hilton Americas – Houston Hotel. Travel Channel culinary adventurer Andrew Zimmerman was the keynote speaker, amusing the group with tales of his unconventional and often bizarre gastronomic quests.
Congratulations to Sonia Corbin Davis, an agent with Keller Williams Realty, Professionals, who has built a national reputation teaching and designing jewelry with her own spin on the ancient Japanese fiber weaving art of Kumihimo.
Frequently published in beading magazines, Davis will be hosting her third annual Texas Kumihimo Retreat in Houston in August.
