It might be the summer holidays for most but for gamers that means Gamescom 2017 is here. Nintendo will be there and this year has a couple of Direct live presentations you won’t want to miss. Here’s all you need to know including when and how to watch.
Ninendo Direct is the legendary Japanese gaming company’s way of communicating with both the press and fans. It’s namely for making news announcements for new games including features and release dates.
Previously, Nintendo used its Direct presentations to unveil the Nintendo Switch, as well as many of its best Nintendo Switch games and best 3DS games .
For Gamescom 2017, Nintendo has got not one, but two Direct presentations for you to enjoy – plus other content during the show.
The first will take place on 23 August at 3: 00pm local time (that’s 2pm in the UK) and will be a chance to see more Super Mario Odyssey gameplay with a special developer talk from producer Yoshiaki Koizumi.
The second Gamescom Nintendo Direct will be on 24 August at 12: 00pm midday (11am in the UK) and will focus on Metroid: Samus Returns .
Producer Yoshio Sakamoto and José Luis Márquez, creative director of developer Mercury Steam, will take to the stage to discuss Samus Aran’s upcoming adventure on Nintendo 3DS .
