Mekhi Alante Lucky, the latest hottie to land a modeling contract because of his smoldering mug shot, is making his New York Fashion Week debut.
Lucky, who has been nicknamed “prison bae” by the Internet, confirmed to Page Six that he will walk in the Helmut Lang Seen By Shayne Oliver show on Monday night. It is streaming live on Instagram at 9 p.m.
Lucky’s viral mugshot comes from his April 2016 arrest for allegedly speeding and driving a stolen vehicle. He has also been arrested for alleged assault and breaking and entering, according to the Daily Mail.
Lucky gained notoriety when he was “discovered” by the Twitter account Wake Mugshots. He was quickly dubbed “prison bae” when social media took notice of his chiseled jaw and different colored eyes. The 20-year-old has a genetic condition called heterochromia, which causes him to have one blue eye and one brown.
Lucky’s distinctive features also caught the attention of the fashion world, and he was signed to St. Claire Modeling agency earlier this summer.
The 5-foot-10 model was spotted attending the Philipp Plein fashion show over the weekend. Now-famous “Hot Felon” Jeremy Meeks walked in Plein’s February show.
