Organizers describe the two-day hearing Monday and Tuesday as a public event during which policymakers and researchers meet to discuss challenges and opportunities in improving care and reducing costs.
Reigning in the cost of health care is seen as key to maintaining Massachusetts‘ highest-in-the-nation rate of insured residents.
The hearing will include remarks by Republican Gov. Charlie Baker, Democratic Attorney General Maura Healey and Senate President Stan Rosenberg and House Speaker Robert DeLeo — both Democrats.
Representatives of commercial health plans, hospitals and other providers are also scheduled to testify.
The hearing will be held at Suffolk University Law School.
