Flipkart has launched its first smartphone called the Billion Capture+.
“The Billion Capture+ is a budget dual camera smartphone with a massive battery”
As teased earlier, Flipkart has just unveiled its first smartphone called the Billion Capture+. The phone comes as a budget dual camera-toting smartphone. The Capture+ boots a stock version of Android 7.1.2 Nougat, and comes bundled with unlimited cloud storage for photos, videos and more. The brand’s first smartphone comes with a premium all-metal unibody design with a fingerprint sensor.
Talking about the cameras first, the Billion Capture+ flaunts two 13-megapixel cameras at the rear. One of them is a monochrome sensor and the other is an RGB sensor. The device comes with a few imaging modes like portrait mode, super night mode and depth-of-field mode. On the front, the device is equipped with an 8-megapixel camera.
As for the other specs, the Flipkart Billion Capture+ boasts a 5.5-inch full HD display with a pixel density of 401ppi and 2.5D curved Dragontrail glass on top. Powering the phone is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. The device comes in two RAM and storage configurations – 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB, which also support microSD cards up to 128GB in size. The phone is fuelled by a massive 3,500mAh battery, which supports fast charging.
“The Billion brand’s products have always been backed by meticulous data-driven research and insight into Indian customers’ needs. The features in the Capture+ too have been derived from deep data-mining of millions of Flipkart customers’ reviews. Few true dual camera phones offer this combination of flagship features. We’re sure this customer-centricity will delight Indian smartphone buyers,” said Sachin Bansal, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman, Flipkart.
The Flipkart Billion Capture+’s 3GB model has been priced at Rs 10,999, while its 4GB variant will set you back by Rs 12,999. The phone comes in two colour variants – Mystic Black and Desert Gold. The device will go on sale on Flipkart starting November 15th.
The Billion Capture+ will be competing against the likes of other budget dual camera smartphones like the Xiaomi Mi A1 ( review), which is an Android One offering. The Mi A1 is priced at Rs 14,999, and offers a stock Android experience with a promised upgrade to Android P when it’s announced.
