HAY TWP, MI — A 27-year-old man was shot dead Friday night in a driveway after a dispute escalated to the point of violence, police say.
Gladwin County Sheriff Michael Shea identified the man as Blake VanSnepson.
Shea said deputies received a report of a shooting around 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at a residence on Hay Road north of Highwood Road in Hay Township.
Deputies found VanSnepson dead, lying at the end of a driveway, Shea said. They also located a 21-year-old man, who was later identified as the alleged shooter and arrested.
The sheriff said it’s believed some sort of dispute between the two men escalated to the shooting.
The 21-year-old man is being held in the Gladwin County Jail until arraignment.
The case remains under investigation.
