The latest handset to run the Android Oreo will be HTC U11. The company took to Twitter to make the official announcement about the roll out. The Tweet said, „HTC U11 Oreo Update is live. Start updating now.. #HTCU11 #Oreoupdate.“

Some users have reportedly started receiving the update of software version 3.16.708.3, which bring on board Android 8.0 Oreo and other system enhancements to the HTC U11. This file is 1.48GB in size.
The update will bring the various Android 8.0 Oreo features to the smartphone which include Picture-in-Picture (PIP), Background limits, Adaptive icons, Companion device pairing, Keyboard navigation, Wide-gamut colour for apps and others.
To recall, the HTC U11 is the flagship smartphone from the Taiwanese handset maker. The handset boasts of ’squeezable‘ side bezels, which has eight sensors on the side bezels to register the squeeze. These sensors are integrated with the Edge Sense and can be used to launch any app through long press. Also, this feature can be customized by altering the settings.
In terms of specs, the smartphone has a 5.5-inch QHD Super LCD display with 2560×1440 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating. It is also the company’s first device to come with dual digital assistants — Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 paired with 6GB RAM, it has 128GB storage on board and 2TB external card support. On the camera front, the device includes 12MP autofocus rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 tech.
