“You can tell your boss…”
U. S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley slammed the Grammy Awards ceremony for its blatantly political segment with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Now, host James Corden is hitting back.
While the audience in New York City’s Madison Square Garden couldn’t contain its excitement Sunday when Clinton made a cameo appearance during a reading of Michael Wolff’s “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” Haley wasn’t entertained:
I have always loved the Grammys but to have artists read the Fire and Fury book killed it. Don’t ruin great music with trash. Some of us love music without the politics thrown in it.

I disagree. That part ruined the Grammys. Such a shame.

Corden, of course, disagreed with Haley, and he addressed it during his opening monologue on CBS’s “The Late Show” on Monday night.
“Well, Nikki Haley, you can tell your boss some of us love politics without the Twitter meltdowns thrown in,” he said.
Donald Trump Jr. also criticized the music awards show for spending time advancing a political agenda:
Getting to read a #fakenews book excerpt at the Grammys seems like a great consolation prize for losing the presidency. #GrammyAwards

Corden responded by saying, “You’ve got to give him credit — if anyone knows anything about consolation prizes, it’s Donald Trump’s second-favorite child. At least you’re not Tiffany.”
