Police say a passenger died after a vehicle in which he was traveling hit a pothole, lost control and crashed into an electricity pole on Detroit’s west side early Tuesday morning.
A Ford Focus driven by a 22-year-old female was traveling eastbound on McGraw Avenue when she hit a pothole near Martin Street, according to a preliminary investigation by Detroit Police. The front seat passenger, a 22-year-old male, died in the emergency room, and the driver is listed in temporary serious condition, police said.
The incident happened at 12:11 a.m., according to police.
