One person was killed after police say a car rammed into the back of a school bus Wednesday.
RIVERTON — One person was killed Wednesday after police say a car rammed into the back of a school bus.
The crash happened at the intersection of 12600 South and Bangerter Highway about 1:45 p.m. The school bus was either stopped or had just started to move again when it was hit from behind by another vehicle, said Unified police detective Ken Hansen.
The driver was declared dead at the scene. No information was immediately available about the driver.
There were two children on the bus who suffered minor injuries, according to Hansen. The ages of the children were not immediately known.
The cause of the crash was under investigation, but speed was believed to be a factor, he said.
