ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports on Twitter the former Spartans and Redskins quarterback’s deal with the Vikings will be worth around $86 million over three years. The deal will be reportedly fully-guaranteed at around $28.5 million per year.
No deal has been signed yet. The 29-year old is expected to visit Minnesota tomorrow and sign on Thursday after visiting the Vikings facility.
Cousins has been one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL in recent years. He’s thrown for more than 4,000 yards the last three seasons with at least 25 touchdowns in each of those seasons.
NFL research on Twitter says Cousins will become the first quarterback in NFL history to change teams after posting 4,000+ passing yards in each of the 3 previous seasons.
