And the winner is… wait, what?
Warning: This post contains potential spoilers for The Bachelor Season 22, Episode 10. Seriously, stop reading now if you don’t want to read a huge spoiler!
Well, Bachelor Nation, we made it—sort of. Monday night’s episode marks Part 1 of the two-part finale of Season 22 of The Bachelor. In 10 short weeks, Arie Luyendyk Jr. went from 29 potential wives to just two: Becca K. and Lauren B. Arie’s only got one heart left to break—or can he somehow manage to break both?
If you’ve been keeping up with the spoilers and leaks from the ABC reality dating show, you know these final hours are about to get crazy. Here’s what we know from the official ABC synopsis.

The two ladies get some time with Arie’s family, in a last-minute bid for his coveted proposal. Lauren B., the 25-year-old technology salesperson from Texas, immediately hits it off with the Luyendyks, but things get intense in a tearful heart-to-heart with Arie’s mom. As for Becca, the normally confident 27-year-old publicist from Minneapolis, she seems shaken by the high stakes.

Both ladies get their last dates with Arie: Becca presents him with a scrapbook of their journey, and Lauren „turns an unexpected corner in their relationship,“ according to ABC.
Then, it’s time for Arie to choose. According to a January post from RealitySteve, a spoiler website which posts leaks that are often—though not always—correct, Arie chooses Becca. He proposes, and she accepts. At the end of the Season 22, the two are engaged.
Here’s where things get a little crazy. A week later, Reality Steve updated his blog to announce that, actually, Arie had already broken things off with Becca by mid-January. Rumor has it, a neighbor spotted an ABC crew filming crew outside of Lauren’s family house shortly thereafter. Conclusion? Arie changed his mind, dumped Becca and is now dating his runner-up instead.
This would explain the odd emphasis on Arie falling in love with two women in all the Bachelor promotion this year, as well as the comment from Caroline in last week’s „Women Tell All“ episode that she „knows what Arie did.“ And it lines up with ABC’s insistence that this finale is the most unexpected yet.
„The conclusion to Arie’s journey is unlike anything that has happened before on this show,” promised host Chris Harrison last week. “More dramatic, more real and different from anything you expected. It’s definitely an ending you won’t want to miss.”
Now, maybe it’s not true. To be fair, Reality Steve has been wrong in the past—like his assertion that Peter Kraus won last year’s Bachelorette, when in fact it was Bryan Abasolo. But if it is true? Wow, Arie. Wow. That’s cold.
The Bachelor finale airs Monday, March 5, at 8 p.m. ET, and the „After the Final Rose“ airs Tuesday, March 6, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
