The Honor 10 is official in the UK and Europe after a London launch – although the phone was already out in the wild after its unveiling in China.

After many leaks and official Chinese pricing, we finally have a UK price. The Honor 10 is a very reasonable £399. That gets you 4GB RAM and 128GB storage – an incredibly generous amount we feel, considering the £800+ Galaxy S9 leaves you with only 64GB.
Honor has confirmed that the Honor 10 is available straight away, making the release date 15 May.

While we have a full review of the Honor 10 already, here are the headline specs and features of the Chinese company’s latest handset.
If you feel the Honor 10 bears a passing resemblance to the Huawei P20 series of phones, you’d be right – it’s a mix of the design of the mid-range P20 Lite and the internals of the high-end P20.
This means it has a notch, Kirin 970 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage as standard in the UK and runs Android Oreo 8.1 with EUMI 8.1 out of the box. There’s also dual 16Mp and 20Mp cameras with bokeh and AI modes, a 24Mp front facing camera, USB-C and a headphone jack.
Most striking of all, as is usual with Honor phones, is the rear panel’s design. The multi-layered glass on the positively sparkles as light refracts the blue colour into purple depending on the angle and the light. It’s completely unique and might be what some people buy it for, specs be damned.
Thankfully for the excellent £399 price point, the specs are as attractive as the design.
The display is a 19:9 Full HD IPS LCD panel, not an OLED, but it should still be perfectly serviceable and won’t look in any way budget. And yes, you can ‘hide’ the notch in the software settings by blacking out the status bar.
Small corners have been cut such as the slightly fatter side bezels than you’d find on a taller 19:9 flagship-price phone, and there’s only USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.2 as opposed to the more modern and preferable 3.0 and 5.0 respectively.
Interestingly the Honor 10 also is the first phone we’ve seen with a fingerprint sensor under the glass of the chin of the phone, rather than having a button. It’s not in the display, but it’s another surprisingly high-end feature on a phone with a killer price.
