We’re down the final two – and you can live stream every pot for free, with our guide to watch the World Championship final. Stream the snooker from anywhere, even if you’re outside the UK.
Well, we think it’s fair to say that it’s not the final that anybody was expecting, but this year’s World Snooker Championship finale will be battled out between two grizzled old competitors. Mark Williams and John Higgins have been here before, with six titles between them – but both will be determined to take the trophy home to their respective corners of the UK.
Will it be Scottish Higgins? Four time winner and one of the best ever players to pick up a cue. Or Welsh Williams? He, at 43, could be the oldest winner of the World Snooker Championship since compatriot Ray Reardon took the title 40 years ago. You can find out with our guide on how to live stream all the snooker over the final weekend.
Selby’s been shocked. Ronnie’s been rocked. Trump’s been dumped and Ding’s been binned. It’s been a tournament full of unexpected twists and turns, with the 32 players competing for the staggering £425,000 (about $600,00, AU$800,00) prize whittled down to the last two. And you can watch it all to see who bags the winnings – and the glory.
Getting a live stream of the 2018 World Snooker Championship is really easy, as the BBC has the rights to show it in all its glory. And even if you live outside the UK keep reading as we’ll show you how to stream the snooker from wherever you are in the world. All you have to decide is who you’re cheering for – the Wizard of Wishaw or the Welsh Potting Machine?
The BBC goes all out with its coverage of the national treasure that is the Snooker World Championships. So if you’re in the UK and you have a TV license, then you can catch it on BBC Two for the live broadcast and a nightly highlights show.
If you’re not in front of a television, then the iPlayer or BBC Sport app is the way to go for uninterrupted action and your pick of what to watch.
The other way to watch the BBC online is to go via TVPlayer.com, which doesn’t require any sign ins and hosts all of the UK’s free-to-air channels without having to worry about hopping around from site to site or app to app. Easy as a straight red into the corner pocket.
If you don’t happen to live in the UK, don’t worry as the 2018 World Snooker Championship is again being broadcast in more than 30 countries around the world for free on Facebook. The list of countries included features the US, Pakistan, India, Brazil, Colombia and more from the Americas and Asia.
All you need is a Facebook login to watch the live action, with your choice of which table to watch at any one time. Head on over to the World Snooker Facebook page to watch.
If you’re neither in the UK or in one of the countries showing it on Facebook (or, shock horror, not registered to Facebook), then there’s still an easy way to watch.
Simply download and install a VPN to change your IP address to one in the UK and head over to TVPlayer.com. Great news if no local broadcaster is showing it or you’re just partial to the commentators (Davis, Virgo, Thorne!) featured by the BBC. Here’s how to stream the snooker with a VPN:
