East Japan Railway Co., or JR East, started on Tuesday to solicit ideas from the public for the name of a planned new station on its Yamanote Line in central Tokyo.
East Japan Railway Co., or JR East, started on Tuesday to solicit ideas from the public for the name of a planned new station on its Yamanote Line in central Tokyo.
The new station, to be located between Tamachi and Shinagawa stations, is now being constructed. It will be the 30th station on the busy loop line.
JR East will accept ideas until the end of this month. A relevant committee of the railway operator will decide the name of the new station based on the input, and it will be announced in winter this year, JR East officials said.
