The publisher and developer Ubisoft officially releases gameplay footage of the forthcoming Rainbow Six Siege crossover coming to Ghost Recon: Wildlands.
Just a few days ago, the video game publisher and developer Ubisoft officially teased a forthcoming crossover event in its tactical shooter Ghost Recon: Wildlands that will feature content relating to its other property Rainbow Six Siege. Now, the company has decided to give fans a closer look at how Rainbow Six assets will be incorporated into the title by releasing a gameplay trailer for the content drop known as Special Operations 2.
As seen in Ghost Recon: Wildlands‘ latest trailer, characters from Rainbow Six Siege are attempting to find one of their own who has gone off the grid, with the Frenchwoman Emmanuelle “Twitch” Pichon – that is, an Attacking Operator from the latter game – having been sent to Bolivia to find the missing Operator. Naturally, this mission appears to be fraught with peril, especially after a number of bodies are discovered.
In addition to the crossover character from Rainbow Six Siege, Ghost Recon: Wildlands‘ Special Operation 2 update will also offer the Caveira icon, CQC, and emote, as well as a few new weapons, including a pistol and assault rifle. What’s more is that new customization options will also be added, with long-time players even being able to take advantage of new Battle Crates, icons, and items, with more than a hundred being available in total.
Ghost Recon: Wildlands‘ Special Operation 2 also brings fresh wares for fans of the game’s PvP, as Ubisoft will be bringing new Surgeon class also joins the Ghost War mode, which will certainly be exciting for those who like to play healers on a team. Plus, the developers will include a Toxic class, too, which will let players use gas to their advantage to both disorient and smoke out enemies who may be hiding.
Thankfully, Ghost Recon: Wildlands fans won’t have to wait long for the Rainbow Six Siege crossover and all that the tactical shooter’s Special Operation 2 update will bring, as Ubisoft will be releasing all of the aforementioned content tomorrow, June 24,2018. Along with the recent inclusion of a Permadeath mode, it’s definitely great to see the publisher and developer continuing to support Wildlands for so long after it launched.
Ghost Recon: Wildlands is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
