Samsung launched the Galaxy Note9 ( first impression) smartphone last week at an event in New York. The company is now gearing up to host the smartphone’s launch event in India on August 22nd. It’s worth noting that the India price of the Galaxy Note9 has already been announced and buyers can pre-book the device across the country via both offline and online channels. Key highlights of the handset include a big display, large battery, up to half-terabyte of built-in storage, and an improved S Pen with Bluetooth connectivity.
Samsung ships the Galaxy Note9 in a premium glass over metal unibody design. It flaunts a 6.4-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display with curved sides and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The handset is powered by an Exynos 9810 processor mated with 6GB/ 8GB of RAM and 128GB/ 256GB native storage. The IP68 water and dust certified Galaxy Note9 boats on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and houses a 4,000mAh with fast wired and wireless charging.
In the camera department, the Note9 flaunts dual 12-megapixel sensors on the rear with variable aperture lens, OIS, and scene detection. As for the front camera, it comes with an 8-megapixel shooter with autofocus. For security, the handset is equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and Iris scanner and face unlock functionality. Other features include Bixby support, DeX compatibility, and connectivity options like 4G LTE, VOLTE, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, and GPS with GLONASS.
The Galaxy Note9 has been priced in India at Rs 67,900 for the base 6GB RAM variant and Rs 84,900 for the top-end model. The phone comes in Midnight Black, Lavender Purple, Metallic Copper colour options and is expected to go for sale across the country from August 22nd.
