Google is prepping to launch the third generation of Pixel phones on October 4 at an event scheduled to happen in NYC.
Some more pictures of the Google Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL have surfaced, but this time, the phones appear in white and black colours. Until now, reports were that Google — for the first ever time — is working on Pink and Mint colour Pixel phones. In total, for now, Google is expected to launch both the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL in four colours variants including white, black, pink and mint. There could be other colours options too. Google is prepping up to launch the third generation of Pixel phones on October 4 at an event scheduled to happen in NYC. Alongside the Pixel phones, Google is also expected to launch Pixel buds and Pixel stand for wireless charging, but Google is yet to confirm that.
The newly leaked pictures of the Google Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL come from WinFuture. In the pictures — which more or less look like official renders of the phones — the complete design of both the Pixel phones has been revealed which goes in line with the previous rumours and leaked pictures. Sadly, the newly leaked pictures don’t bring any new information to the plate regarding the upcoming Pixel phones, and just confirms the old rumours.
The picture showing the Pixel 3 reveals that the phone will look a lot like last year’s Pixel 2, which means, it will come with thick bezels on the sides. The Pixel 3 XL, on the other hand, is seen with thin bezels on all sides. The second picture showing the 3 XL shows the phone with notched display. There’s no notch on the Pixel 3. The notch on the Pixel 3 XL seems a little taller compared to what we have seen on the iPhone X and also on the newly launched the iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max.
Going in line with the previous leaks and rumours, the new images also show both the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL with dual cameras on the front. The two cameras on the Pixel 3 XL are placed on the notch, while on the Pixel 3 they sit on the thick bezels. On the rear panel, both the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL are seen with single cameras paired with LED flash. Following the camera setup, both the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL have the circular rear-mounted fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone.
Both the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL are said to sport a glass back, which increases the chances of wireless charging technology. There’s still some confusion whether Google will actually bring wireless charging tech to this year’s Pixel phones or not. Some rumours say it will, while others suggest it will not.
Rumours suggest that the Pixel 3 XL is going to be bigger compared to the Pixel 2 XL. Some previously leaked rumours had revealed that the 3 XL will come with a 6.7-inch display that has a resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels, 18.5:9 screen aspect ratio and a screen-to-body ratio of 94.4 per cent. The Pixel 3 XL will come with an OLED panel, with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on it. The Pixel 3, on the other hand, will come with almost the same display size as the Pixel 2.
