Vivo launched the V11 Pro in India last week with a price tag of Rs 25,990, but buyers can get the phone for Rs 23,990 instead.
V11 Pro is full of future tech for a mid-range price. We at India Today Tech reviewed the Vivo V11 Pro and found the phone to be great in almost every sense. It’s fast. Can smoothly handle the day-to-day usage like run WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, makes calls and more without any lag. Looks good, if only the back cover wasn’t built of plastic, and has pretty decent cameras on both front and back panel. The biggest highlight of the V11 Pro is that the smartphone comes packed with an in-display fingerprint sensor, which until now was seen only on premium phones. Vivo launched the V11 Pro in India last week with a price tag of Rs 25,990, but buyers can get the phone for Rs 23,990 instead.
Vivo has partnered with HDFC Bank to offer a flat Rs 2,000 discount on buying the V11 Pro with either debit or credit card. Besides the fingerprint sensor, another highlight of the V11 Pro is its dual engine quick charger, which is so fast that other smartphone manufacturers should worry. It is as good as OnePlus Dash charger, sometimes even better.
Vivo claims that the V11 Pro fast charger can charge the phone from 10 to 45 per cent in the time one takes to drinking water, which may sound like a gimmick to some, but is true in real life. Almost. For me, the phone charges from 20 to 95 per cent in around 30 minutes, which I find faster than the OnePlus Dash charger.
The V11 Pro is way more than the in-display fingerprint sensor, which the company is touting. The phone looks stunning, and the credit goes to the Oppo F9 Pro like waterdrop notch, which Vivo calls „Halo FullView Display“. In my opinion, it is the best looking phone at a price of around Rs 25,000. Better than even the Oppo F9 Pro and the Poco F1.
The V11 Pro can very well handle graphics-heavy games smoothly and run multiple apps without any lag or stutter at any given point. The camera of the V11 Pro is also above decent. The phone is capable of capturing clear and detailed pictures with spot-on colours in good lighting. Even in low-light or tricky light scenarios, V11 Pro camera proves to be far better than other smartphones at the same price point. The marquee feature of the V11 Pro, in-display fingerprint scanner, is a hit and miss.
The V11 Pro comes with a big 6.41-inch Super AMOLED display with 2340 x1080 pixels resolution, an aspect ratio of 19:9 and screen to body ratio of 91.27 per cent. Under the hood, the smartphone packs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 processor and is paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. As far as benchmarks are concerned, here is what the V11 Pro gets: In Geekbench 4, the V11 Pro managed to score 1437 points in single core and 5270 in multi-core. While in AnTuTu, the phone manages to score 127934 points.
On the software front, the V11 Pro runs Vivo’s FunTouch OS 4.5 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. For now, there’s no word if the phone will get Android 9 Pie update or not. The software, however, inside the V11 Pro looks a little cluttered. It includes too many features and which is why one might end up not using most of them. On the camera front, the V11 Pro is good enough, if only the pictures it clicked would don’t look artificial, credit goes to the number of filters added to the end result.
On the rear, the V11 Pro comes with a dual-pixel camera setup that consists of a primary 12MP sensor, while the secondary camera comes with a 5MP sensor for portrait shots. On the front, the V11 Pro comes with a 25MP camera that has a lens with an aperture of f/2.0. The V11 Pro can last one full day on a single charge. The phone comes with 3400mAh battery and supports fast charging.
In today’s sale, the V11 Pro is available in two colour variants — Dazzling Gold and Starry Night. The smartphone can be purchased from Vivo e-Store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm Mall, Snapdeal and all offline channels. In addition to the Rs 2,000 flat discount on HDFC credit and debit card, there are other offers like — 5 per cent cash back with Capital First, Rs 2,000 cashback on buying the phone from PayTM mall, No cost EMI up to 12 months, additional Rs 2,000 cashback on exchange, one-time screen replacement in first 6 months, among others. Vivo has also partnered with Reliance Jio to offer benefits of Rs 4,050. The smartphone will be available on both online and offline stores.
