Big discounts on everything from 65-inch LG OLEDs to 82-inch Samsungs and 75-inch Sonys

As the Black Friday sales season looms ever closer, more and more of the retail world’s biggest players are unveiling their sweetest deals on all kind of electronic goodies. And some of the most extreme deals are being applied to one of the consistently most popular Black Friday items: Televisions.
I’ve already covered the biggest TV deals being offered by Target, Costco, Kohl’s, JCPenney and Dell, but now I can share Best Buy’s best TV offers, too.

Here, though, to make your life easier if you’re in the market for a new TV, I’ve pulled out Best Buy’s hottest TV deals and presented them in ascending order of screen size. Below the list I’ve also detailed my own pick of these Best Buy TV offers.

Picking through these Best Buy Black Friday specials, the huge savings available on some of the really big screen models clearly stand out. In truth, though, many of these king-sized TVs have performance issues (at least in dark room environments), thanks to their use of low-contrast IPS panel designs. Because of this, my pick of the super-sized TVs is the 75in Samsung UN75NU8000. This uses a more contrast-rich VA panel and produces a strong 4K and HDR picture that seems a steal for $1597.99.
In the mid-size category, Samsung’s preference for VA panels again serves it well with the 65in 65NU8000 and 55in 55NU8000. Or, if you want the intense colors and brightness delivered by Samsung’s ‚QLED‘ technology, the 55-inch QN55Q6FNA and, especially, the 65 QN65Q6FNA are both enjoying hefty discounts.
LG, though, has for me the pick of the mid-range deals with its duo of OLED TVs. Both the 65in OLED65C8 and 55in OLED55C8 are outstanding TVs, especially for movie fans and anyone who’s room isn’t too bright.
Finally, in the 50 inches and smaller market, the two deals that stand out most are the Samsung 49in 49NU8000 (though note that this is an 8-bit TV, not a 10-bit TV like the bigger NU8000 models) and the heavily discounted (by relatively small screen standards) Sharp LC-40LB601U.
