Between USC’s habit of giving up double-digit leads and UCLA’s constant head-scratching mistakes, neither team appears to have a clear advantage, but the Bruins showed encouraging signs against Arizona State and have had some of their best performances in big games against Oklahoma and Washington. Those ended in losses, but against a struggling USC team, similar efforts could turn into a narrow victory.
