Google Chief executive officer Sundar Pichai on Tuesday, December 11, took to Capitol Hill in Washington DC to present his testimony on Google’s data collection and filtering practices. Pichai’s testimony the US House of Representatives Judiciary Committee lead by chairman Bob Goodlatte was filled with moments wherein the Google chief took time to educate the tech neophytes about the workings of Google Search.
During his 3.5-hour-long testimony, the Republican lawmakers bombarded Pichai with questions accusing Google of biases against the conservatives. In one particular discourse, the Congressmen even asked the Google CEO why searching for the word „idiot“ majorly shows the images of the US President Donald Trump.
