If you purchased Powerbeats 2 earphones before Aug. 7, 2020, Apple may owe you a couple bucks.
(Beats Powerbeats2 Wireless) If you purchased Powerbeats 2 and found them to be lacking in the battery and sweat-resistance departments, Apple could owe you some money. As AppleInsider reports, Apple has reached a $9.75 million settlement in a case that dates back to 2017. At issue are Apple’s claims that its earphones were sweat- and water-resistant and offered up to 12 hours of battery life. Some buyers, however, found that wasn’t the case and they filed a class-action suit against Cupertino. Apple tried to get the case dismissed, but it was allowed to proceed.
