Xiaomi Redmi recently launched a new smartphone, the Redmi Note 9 in India for the budget concious buyers in India, and today, the company is all set to launch an even more aggressively priced smartphone in the country in the form of the Redmi 9 Prime. Scheduled to launch at 12pm today, the new Redmi 9 Prime is likely to go on sale during Amazon Prime Day on August 6. To date, the phone has been teased a number of times already, which have revealed crucial details about the device — including its design, features and some specs. The phone is expected to be launched in India as a rebranded version of the Redmi 9 launched earlier in the year in Spain. While there may not be a major launch event, the phone’s launch will see the company make the phone official via a virtual launch event which will be live streamed by Redmi.
