It was a clear celebration of “the farmers, coal miners, gun-owners and bikers” who have been “crapped on for years by both parties, by the ­media and by academia, getting to be the champions.” The outcasts are ­eager to celebrate “their guy, riding in on a military chopper.” For anyone who thinks Trump’s campaign is based only on “darkness and carnage,” Carney advises, “come to a Trump rally in Middle America, and you’ll start to wonder if he ever campaigned at all, or instead just held a series of parties.” Conservative: Biden’s Lightweight Schedule It isn’t quite that Joe Biden “has canceled all in-person campaign events for the remainder of the campaign,” but his paucity of appearances still “represents a remarkably light schedule,” notes National Review’s Jim Geraghty. Biden is taking two full days off in this last week of October, where Hilary Clinton did 17 events in seven days the same week in 2016. The lack of activity may be a “deliberate strategy” — or an unfortunate “concession to fatigue.
