Former NFL Defensive Player of the Year Stephon Gilmore was traded to the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday just hours after the New England Patriots announced both parties „mutually agreed“ to part ways in his fifth season with the club. The Panthers acquired Gilmore, the 2019 Defensive Player of the Year and four-time Pro Bowler, in exchange for a 2023 sixth-round draft pick, the team announced on its website.
