Barclays chief executive Jes Staley will resign after reports of an investigation into his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, the bank announced Monday. Staley will be replaced by C.S. Venkatakrishnan, Barclay’s head of global markets, the bank said in a statement released Monday. The bank said it was made aware of the preliminary conclusion of the investigation by the U. K’s Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority on Friday night, according to the company’s statement.
