Niantic just announced that Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, the AR Pokemon Go-like game is closing down on January 31, 2022.
Harry Potter: Wizards Unite made quite a bit of noise at launch and understandably so, it was the creators behind Pokemon Go, Niantic, taking on the Wizarding World universe. The idea was to let players across the globe explore their real-life surroundings and to take on the “Unforgivable” and have an AR-experience that is befitting of carrying the Harry Potter license. The game itself was pretty solid, with cool easter eggs and narrative elements offering a ton of value to Potterheads.
