New videos emerging from the chaos and tragedy of the Astroworld music festival in Houston on Friday night show fans frantically attempting to help others who were injured or dying. One video, posted to Twitter by user @wilsonleungg, shows a woman pleading with event staff members to stop the concert after she allegedly witnessed someone die in a stampede of audience members. What she says in the footage cannot be made out due to the noise of the concert. According to the user, her requests were ignored. „Security/staff at Astrofest tonight was practically useless,“ @wilsonleungg wrote in the same tweet. „Saw unconscious bodies being DRAGGED out of the mosh pits while the show continued. Horrifying and heartbreaking.“ Another video, posted under the account of „Drama for the Girls,“ shows a section of the Astroworld audience chanting „stop the show“ as the situation, which authorities dubbed a „mass casualty event,“ unfolded.
