Julia Roberts opened up about her decision to not star in any romantic comedies for the last twenty years — and she admitted a big part of the reason is because of her three children and the “pride” she has in being a “homemaker.” The 54-year-old superstar actress spoke to the New York Times about her long absence from rom-com movies and admitted if she had been given a script that would’ve been at the level of, say, “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” she probably would have done it, reported the outlet in a piece published Tuesday. On top of that, she explained how the film had to be good enough to justify leaving her husband, Daniel Moder, and their three children — and she said that no movie ever came along that made it worthwhile. “Here’s the thing: If I’d thought something was good enough, I would have done it,” Roberts shared. “But I also had three kids in the last 18 years. That raises the bar even more because then it’s not only, ‘Is this material good?’” “It’s also the math equation of my husband’s work schedule and the kids’ school schedule and summer vacation,” she aded.
