The update will be required to run Firefox on Windows 7
Windows 7 is no longer a supported operating system, as it reached the end of life in January 2020. Since then, Windows 7 hasn’t received any updates, with Microsoft recommending users to move to a newer version of the operating system, be it Windows 8.1, Windows 10, or Windows 11. However, while Microsoft itself has given up on Windows 7, other software companies are still providing devices running the operating system with updates for their apps. Firefox, for example, continues to run on Windows 7, and this is without a doubt good news for all holdouts given Mozilla’s browser is one of the best out there.
