Russian President Vladimir Putin is reportedly scheduled to meet with his national security council Monday following Saturday’s explosion at the Kerch Strait Bridge, which connects Crimea to the Russian mainland. Dmitry Peskov, who’s Putin’s press secretary, was asked Sunday if the bridge explosion fell under Russia’s nuclear doctrine, potentially triggering a possible nuclear scenario.
„No. It’s a completely wrong statement of the question,“ Peskov said in the Russian propaganda media RIA.
„The Security Council is scheduled for tomorrow. We will orient ourselves on the topics after the president speaks,“ Peskov said.
Putin on Sunday met with Alexander Bastrykin, head of the investigative committee.
