Call of Duty or Lego Star Wars? 5 Games Coming to iPhone, iPad, and Mac in 2023

Highly entertaining action, RPG, and shooter titles are headed to Apple hardware later this year.
Entertainment-seekers have played games on iOS and iPadOS devices for more than a decade now, but Apple has been much more deliberate with its gaming focus since Apple Arcade’s 2019 release. After all, video games are a multi-billion dollar industry, and the mobile market accounts for nearly half of that revenue. Numerous mobile titles are slated for release in 2023, so Apple selected a few to highlight at a recent event in New York City. The iconic first-person shooter receives a mobile port that delivers the militaristic action and strategic, 120-person battle royale rules that made the console and PC versions so popular. The overall mechanics remain the same, but the controls are streamlined to accommodate mobile devices. For example, you aim, dash, and reload using touch controls, and automatically shoot when you target a foe. Combat is surprisingly intuitive once you get the hang of it.
More importantly, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile features cross-progression, so gear, Battle Pass XP, and weapons unlocked in Mobile can be used on PC or console (and vice versa). However, there’s no wide cross-platform play; you’re limited to synchronous battles across Android and iOS.
