The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) NCR-Central Luzon and the Bataan General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) have signed an agreement providing PCG personnel accessible medical assistance and treatment.
The PCG said in a statement that it has signed a memorandum of agreement with the BGHMC  on Tuesday, Feb. 7.
Under the agreement, all personnel of PCG NCR-CL and its jurisdiction, including their dependents, and trainees of PCG RTC-Bataan serve as beneficiaries of the following:
1) Provide medical aid and treatment at the BGHMC;
2) Provide diagnosis and treatment to the PCG personnel (or their dependent), including surgery, whether minor or major operations, as well as the use of its medical equipment and facilities from admission until discharge;
3) Not require a deposit nor down payment as a pre-condition to the rendition of any medical services;
4) Not refuse to discharge any personnel (or their dependent) because of unpaid or unsettled professional fees, medical fees, or any other fees related to hospitalization;
5) Release the recuperated PCG personnel (or their dependent) GRATIS of any charge, such as professional fees, medical fees, or any other fees related to hospitalization, provided that the said patient is an active PhilHealth member and that he/she qualifies as a No Balance Billing patient in accordance with PhilHealth Circular Nr.
