The man, 20-year-old Ben Cann, was struck in a two -vehicle collision in the town of Killingworth, Northumbria, on July 2 and succumbed to his injuries earlier this week on July 24, reported Chronicle Live.
“When he popped the balloon and found out that he was having a girl he was ecstatic,” his mother, Judith Cann, said.
“I got the moment on video. He had left his gender reveal 20 minutes before the crash.”
The grieving mother added that though “never a party person” Cann had been especially enjoying the reveal fête in excitement for what was to come for his family.
