Building relationships with the townsfolk in Stardew Valley is an essential aspect of the game’s immersive gameplay. Among the residents of Pelican Town is a kind-hearted and book-loving villager named Penny. She is an NPC that captures the hearts of many players, to the point that some are willing to marry her.
Whether players aim to deepen their friendship with Penny or romance her and win her affection, the perfect gifts will make all the difference. As with other NPCs in Stardew Valley, players can give Penny up to two gifts per week, and one more on her birthday (Fall 2). Penny’s Loved Gifts
On receiving something she loves, Penny will say “Thank you! I really love this!”. Including All Universal Loves (except Rabbit’s Foot), Penny loves being gifted the following items.
Diamonds are rare and valuable gems that are liked by most villagers, and loved by Penny. The Diamond is essentially a Mineral that can be obtained from Diamond Nodes. These nodes are found in the Mines on floors 50+. Another way to get Diamonds is from Gem Nodes which are available on any floor in the Mines. There’s a 0.1% chance for monsters in the Mines to drop Diamonds when slain.
They can also be found in Fishing Treasure Chests or obtained by Panning.
An Emerald is a precious gemstone known for its vivid green color. It is another Mineral found in the Mines. Players can obtain Emeralds from Emerald Nodes and Gem Nodes available in the Mines. There is a 10% chance for a Dwarvish Sentry in the Volcano Dungeon to drop an Emerald when slain.
