Arrowhead Game Studios has released a new patch for Helldivers 2, making balance changes to spawn rates.
Arrowhead Game Studios has released another Helldivers 2 patch, making balance changes and improvements to spawn rates.
Earlier this month, the third-person online shooter received an update that introduced a new environmental feature in the form of planetary hazards. These hazards ranged from hurricanes to meteor showers to volcanic eruptions and have since made multiplayer missions even more challenging for Helldivers.
With the latest 1.00.103 update, which is now live on PC and PlayStation 5, Arrowhead has decided to make some adjustments to these hazards, specifically targeting their individual spawn rates. The changes apply to tremors, meteor showers, volcanic activity, fire tornados, and ion storms and they should now „spawn less frequently during missions“.
In addition, some hazards, like meteors, have received a damage nerf, while volcanic activity’s explosion radius and rock velocity have also been slightly reduced.
The patrol spawn rate has been lowered, too, so those small yet deadly groups of Automatons should no longer appear near players as frequently during missions.
On top of some crashing issues that have been addressed, a fix has been implemented for the EXO-45 Patriot exosuit, which would sometimes destroy itself when firing a missile while turning. The suit’s melee functionality has also been fixed so now it should still work even when it’s been damaged. You can read the full patch notes below.
