‚Decisive strikes will save lives & protected religious freedom‘
Republican lawmakers have delivered praise for strikes ordered by President Donald Trump on ISIS extremists and terrorists in Nigeria.
Trump long has expressed concern about the terrorists’ slaughter of Christians in that nation, and ordered strikes on Christmas Day that hit at the network of hate there.
“Decisive” was how several GOP lawmakers described the move.
Rep. Bill Huizenga, R-Mich., said, “Today, in coordination with the Nigerian government, President Trump and the U.S. Military took decisive action to protect Christians from radical Islamists in Nigeria. The Congressional Delegation I led to Nigeria this past weekend provided insight that some attitudes inside the Nigerian Government are beginning to turn in favor of protecting Christians — in addition to taking actions against those terrorizing Christians and moderate Muslims. As I have said previously, the U.S. was too late in Rwanda and too late in South Sudan. This strike demonstrates the United States is taking the targeted killings in Nigeria seriously.”

Sen. Ted Budd, R-N.C., added, “ISIS is responsible for the deaths of thousands of Christians & religious minorities in Nigeria. @POTUS’s decisive strikes will save lives & protect religious freedom.
