Superhot's rogue-like 'Mind Control Delete' expansion hits Steam tomorrow

Indie first-person shooter, Superhot, is getting a standalone expansion tomorrow via Steam’s early access program. The expansion will be free to all Superhot owners when it launches in full.
Superhot, the innovative first-person shooter from last year in which time only progresses when the player moves, is getting a stand-alone expansion titled Superhot: Mind Control Delete. The expansion will reach Steam’s Early Access program tomorrow, December 7, and unlike the base game, it will feature rogue-like elements.
The developer, Superhot Team, expects the expansion to be in early access at least until late 2018. While the expansion will be free to all Superhot owners once it is out of early access, anyone who wants in on the action while it is still under development will have to fork over some money, although the exact pricing has not been announced yet.
For the expansion’s full release, the developer plans to implement the following features:
But, the developer also issued a warning on the expansion’s store page to any interested players, saying „This is an extremely early, bleeding-edge version of most of our new gameplay systems. The limitations for this early access build are not for the faint of heart,“ and added that „The initial release will be quite a bit awkward and unbalanced. It won’t give you any new enemy types to beat up and features only vanilla powerups until we get the base game balance just right.“
As base game owners will get the Mind Control Delete expansion for free when it launches, it may be a good idea for casual fans to practice some patience. However, any interested parties who want to help out the Superhot Team in developing this expansion can purchase the early access release beginning tomorrow.

A terrorist plot to assassinate British Prime Minister Theresa May was reportedly foiled by the U. K.’s domestic intelligence agency MI5.
According to Sky News, 20-year-old Naa’imur Zakariyah Rahman of north London has been charged with preparing acts of terrorism.
The plot involved using an improvised explosive device at the gates of 10 Downing Street, the official residence of the country’s prime ministers, before an assassination attempt would be made against May with a suicide vest.
“This is something which has been pursued over several weeks at least by Scotland Yard, MI5 and West Midlands Police,” Sky’s Crime Correspondent Martin Brunt said, describing the attempted attack as an “extreme Islamist suicide plot.”
Rahman was arrested Tuesday alongside 21-year-old Mohammed Aqib Imran of southeast Birmingham, who is accused of attempting to join the Islamic State, by officers with the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command.
Both men remain in custody after appearing before a judge at Westminster Magistrates’ Court Wednesday morning.
The head of MI5, Andrew Parker, told Cabinet members Tuesday that the agency has foiled nine separate terror plots in the last 12 months.
News of the arrests follows reports Tuesday that the Manchester terror attack in May, which took the lives of 23 people outside an Ariana Grande concert, could have been averted “had the cards fallen differently.”
MI5 says it had planned to discuss the security threat posed by the suicide bomber, 22-year-old Salman Abedi, just 9 days after the deadly attack.
While British intelligence claims to have foiled several Islamist plots, numerous others have been successful.
Eleven people died in June when terrorists ran over pedestrians and stabbed others on the London Bridge.
In March 52-year-old Khalid Masood drove a vehicle at pedestrians on Westminster Bridge and stabbed a nearby policeman.

Kurz vor der angekündigten Anerkennung Jerusalems als Hauptstadt Israels durch US-Präsident Trump mehren sich international besorgte Stimmen. Papst Franziskus warnte nachdrücklich vor dem Schritt. Alle Parteien müssten den „Status Quo“ der Stadt respektieren, „wie es die entsprechenden Resolutionen der UN vorsehen“. Er verlangte „Klugheit und Besonnenheit“, um neue Spannungen zu vermeiden. „Ich kann meine tiefe Sorge über die Situation, die sich in den letzten Tagen entwickelt hat, nicht verschweigen“, so Franziskus.
Die türkische Regierung warnte vor einem neuen interreligiösen Krieg. Ministerpräsident Binali Yildirim nannte nach Angaben der staatlichen Nachrichtenagentur Anadolu sowohl die Anerkennung Jerusalems als Hauptstadt als auch eine Verlegung der US-Botschaft dorthin „rechtswidrig“. „Es ist sowohl in Anbetracht der Zukunft der Region als auch des Weltfriedens von zentraler Bedeutung, dass der Präsident der USA keine Erklärung in diese Richtung abgibt“, sagte Yildirim.
Staatspräsident Recep Tayyip Erdogan will einen Sondergipfel der Organisation für Islamische Kooperation (OIC) einberufen. Ziel sei es, in der aktuellen Situation „ein gemeinsames Handeln und Koordination zwischen den islamischen Ländern zu gewährleisten“.
Eine Dringlichkeitssitzung berief auch die Arabische Liga ein. Die Außenminister wollen am Samstag in Kairo über die erwartete veränderte US-Position diskutieren, teilte die palästinensische Vertretung bei der Arabischen Liga mit.
Sorge äußerte auch die Bundesregierung. Es gebe schon jetzt „eine gewisse Aufregung“ in vielen Teilen der islamischen Welt, sagte ein Sprecher des Auswärtigen Amtes. „Wir sehen es mit Sorge und großer Aufmerksamkeit.“ Die EU habe zum Status von Jerusalem eine einheitliche Position und er habe keinen Zweifel, dass sich daran etwas ändern werde. Nach der Rede Trumps werde die Bundesregierung erörtern, was gegebenenfalls zu tun sei.
Der britische Außenminister Boris Johnson will zunächst abwarten, was der US-Präsident bei seiner Ankündigung genau sagt. Nach Ansicht Großbritanniens solle Jerusalem Teil einer endgültigen Lösung des Konflikts zwischen Israel und den Palästinensern sein.
Auch die russische Regierung will die genauen Worte Trumps abwarten. Ein Sprecher von Präsident Wladimir Putin zeigte sich aber besorgt, dass eine Anerkennung Jerusalems als Hauptstadt Israels durch die USA den Konflikt zwischen Israel und den Palästinensern verschärfen würde.
Zurückhaltend reagierte die chinesische Regierung. Alle Beteiligten sollen mehr für Frieden und Ruhe in der Region tun, sich vorsichtig verhalten und neue Feindseligkeiten vermeiden, sagt ein Sprecher des chinesischen Außenministeriums.

Die am Dienstagabend verkündete Absicht von US-Präsident Donald Trump, Jerusalem als Hauptstadt Israels anzuerkennen und die US-Botschaft von Tel Aviv dorthin zu verlegen, könnte eine breite Allianz islamischer Staaten gegen die USA schmieden: Die Türkei lud am Mittwoch die Mitglieder der Organisation für Islamische Zusammenarbeit (OIC) für kommende Woche zu einem Sondergipfel nach Istanbul ein. Jordanien und die Palästinenser forderten eine Dringlichkeitssitzung der Arabischen Liga zu der Frage.
Der türkische Präsident Recep Tayyip Erdogan habe als amtierender OIC-Vorsitzender eine Einladung an die muslimischen Staatsführer von Malaysia bis Mauretanien ausgesprochen, um über das weitere gemeinsame Vorgehen zu beraten, teilte sein Sprecher Ibrahim Kalin am Mittwoch mit. Erdogan hatte am Vortag eine Änderung des Status von Jerusalem als „rote Linie für die Muslime“ bezeichnet.
Die OIC hat mit 56 Staaten einen deutlich größeren Mitgliederkreis als die Arabische Liga (22), welche im Grunde den Arabischen Raum im engeren Sinne darstellt. In der OIC hingegen sind neben Indonesien, dem bevölkerungsreichsten muslimischen Land überhaupt, auch etwa Kasachstan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Mosambik, Albanien und sogar das südamerikanische Land Guyana vertreten.
Erdogan kommt in Kürze in Ankara mit Jordaniens König Abdullah II. zusammen, dabei dürfte der Konflikt um Jerusalem zur Sprache kommen. Gemeinsam mit der palästinensischen Autonomiebehörde beantragte Jordanien am Mittwoch eine Sondersitzung der Arabischen Liga in Kairo. Nach Angaben eines Diplomaten bei der panarabischen Organisation wird das Ministertreffen wahrscheinlich am Samstag stattfinden.
Laut eines US-Regierungsvertreters wolle Trump noch heute (Mittwoch) Abend MEZ trotz eindringlicher Warnungen aus aller Welt seine Entscheidung verkünden, Jerusalem als Israels Hauptstadt anzuerkennen. Der Plan stößt auch bei vielen europäischen und pazifischen Verbündeten auf Kritik, da sie eine Eskalation des Nahost-Konflikts befürchten.

Ministerstwo Środowiska przesłało do stałego przedstawicielstwa RP w Brukseli odpowiedź ws. działań prowadzonych w Puszczy Białowieskiej. Dwa tygodnie temu takiej informacji ze strony Polski zażądał Trybunał Sprawiedliwości UE.
Dokument ma charakter poufny, ponieważ ma on bezpośredni związek z prowadzonym postępowaniem w sprawie Puszczy Białowieskiej.
Minister środowiska prof. Jan Szyszko odniósł się do sprawy Puszczy w rozmowie z dziennikarzami.
20 listopada Trybunał Sprawiedliwości UE zajmował się wnioskiem KE o nałożenie środka tymczasowego na Polskę. Orzekł, że poza sytuacją wyjątkową i bezwzględnie konieczną do zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa publicznego Polska nie może prowadzić wycinki w Puszczy Białowieskiej. Za złamanie tego zakazu grozi 100 tys. euro kary dziennie.
Istotę sporu KE z Polską, a więc czy działania w Puszczy są zgodne z przepisami dyrektyw ptasiej i siedliskowej, Trybunał rozstrzygnie w najbliższy wtorek.

How to survive nuclear strike: Chinese media advises locals on N. Korea border

A Chinese regional newspaper informs citizens living near North Korea on how to protect themselves in case of a nuclear attack.
China’s state-affiliated Jilin Province daily newspaper issued a full-page report informing civilians on the effects of nuclear weapons and how to protect themselves, Chinese media reported  on Wednesday. The northeastern region is close to the North Korean Punggye-ri nuclear test site and shares a vast border with it.
The report describes in detail how dangerous nuclear weapons can be and what happens following the explosion. Light radiation, blast waves, early-stage nuclear radiation, nuclear electro-magnetic pulses, and radioactive pollution can cause serious destruction and casualties, the article says. Apart from detailed descriptions of the effects, the piece also discusses wartime air raids.
The practical part instructs people caught in an attack both inside and outside to take cover once they see the flash of an explosion, feel shockwaves, and are affected by optical radiation. People who are outside during a nuclear attack should lie down or dive into water if possible. Those who are indoors should lie in a corner or hide under a table or bed, and as soon as the shock wake passes, immediately close the doors and windows to prevent radioactive dust from entering the house.
Citizens in affected areas should take iodine tablets and follow the other instructions, which include colorful illustrations. The cartoon-like pictures feature courses of action to take to reduce radioactive contamination, including cleaning clothes and shoes, as well as showering and cleaning ears. One picture of a vomiting child comes with advice for stomach pumping and induced urination in case contaminated food or water is ingested.
Commenting on the article, widely discussed by Chinese netizens, state-run Global Times newspaper said there is no need for panic, despite the deteriorating situation in the region and the need to “brace for the worst scenario.” It added that there is little chance that Chinese soil would come under attack, but warned that “as a powerful nuclear state, China will resolutely return like for like.”
Tensions are running high on the Korean Peninsula, with Pyongyang continuing missile and nuclear tests as the US holds drills with its regional allies near the North Korean border. Both North Korea and Washington continue saber-rattling, despite calls to abstain from provocations in the turbulent region.

ザンビアのマケニ村に診療所を建てる活動などに取り組む同団体。診療所建設の支援金を集めるため取り組んできた事業に参加したザンビア人留学生の提案をきっかけに、約20人のアフリカ人留学生が参加してイベントを企画した。
秋田大学に通う留学生が、ジンバブエの伝統楽器「ムビラ」や西アフリカの太鼓「ジャンベ」などを使った演舞を披露するほか、ナイジェリアで歌手活動をしていたという東北大学に通う留学生も歌声を披露する。ギニアで音楽活動の経験を持つという由利本荘市在住のアフリカンドラムとダンスのグループも出演する。
ザンビア、ケニア、ボツワナ、モザンビーク、南アフリカの5カ国の留学生が、トウモロコシの粉を湯で練って作るザンビアの主食「シマ」や、インディカ米をアフリカ産スパイスでいためたケニアの炒飯「ピラウマサラ」などの伝統料理を提供するが、「予約で既に定員に達した」という。
秋田大学医学部3年の宮地貴士さんは「アフリカに馴染みのある方は少ないかもしれないが、イベントを通じて、アフリカの多様性と素晴らしい文化を感じてもらえれば」と来場を呼び掛ける。
開催時間は12時～16時。入場は無料だが、予約が必要。定員130人。問い合わせは同事務局（TEL 080-4830-2190）まで。

North Korea crisis: China paper publishes nuclear attack advice

BEIJING — A state-run newspaper in a Chinese city near the border with North Korea on Wednesday published a page of „common sense“ advice on how readers can protect themselves from a nuclear attack or explosion.
China has voiced grave concern over North Korea’s nuclear and missiles programme, as well as calling on the United States and South Korea to stop provoking Pyongyang.
An American B-1B supersonic bomber flew over South Korea on Wednesday as part of a large-scale joint military drills with Seoul. Kim Jong Un’s regime has warned the drills would push the Korean Peninsula to the „brink of war.“
The full-page article in the Jilin Daily explains how nuclear weapons differ from traditional arms and instructs people how to protect themselves in the event of an attack.
Nuclear weapons have five means of causing destruction: light radiation, blast waves, early-stage nuclear radiation, nuclear electro-magnetic pulses and radioactive pollution, the article explained.
People who find themselves outside during a nuclear attack should try to lie in a ditch, cover exposed skin in light-coloured clothing or dive into a river or lake to try and minimize the possibility of instantaneous death, it added.
Cartoon illustrations of ways to dispel radioactive contamination were also provided, such as using water to wash off shoes and using cotton buds to clean ears, as well as a picture of a vomiting child to show how medical help can be sought to speed the expulsion of radiation through stomach pumping and induced urination.
The influential state-backed Global Times in a commentary on Wednesday described the article as a public service announcement due to the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
„If war breaks out, it is not possible to rule out the Korean Peninsula producing nuclear contaminants, and countermeasures must be seriously researched and spoken openly about to let the common folk know. But at the same time, there is absolutely no reason to be alarmed,“ the Global Times said.
North Korea last week tested what it called its most advanced intercontinental ballistic missile. South Korea’s military says the Hwasong-15 has the potential to strike targets as far away as 8,100 miles, which would put Washington within reach.
The North also conducted its most powerful nuclear test in September which it described as a detonation of a thermonuclear weapon designed for ICBMs.
Wednesday’s aerial exercise was a clear warning to North Korea.
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said the Guam-based bomber simulated land strikes at a military field near South Korea’s eastern coast during a drill with U. S. and South Korean fighter jets.
„Through the drill, the South Korean and U. S. air forces displayed the allies‘ strong intent and ability to punish North Korea when threatened by nuclear weapons and missiles,“ the military said in a statement.
B-1Bs flyovers have become an increasingly familiar show of force to North Korea, which after three intercontinental ballistic missile tests has clearly moved closer toward building a nuclear arsenal that could viably target the U. S. mainland.
The five-day drills that began Monday involve more than 200 aircraft, including six U. S. F-22 and 18 F-35 stealth fighters.

Zatrzymani mieli organizować działalności małych agencji towarzyskich w wielu miastach w kraju. Policja zlikwidowała m.in. call center, zarządzające pracą prostytutek na obszarze znacznej części Polski. – Grupa przestępcza miała uzyskiwać w ten sposób „ogromne korzyści finansowe” – poinformował rzecznik prasowy wielkopolskiej policji Andrzej Borowiak. W zatrzymaniu brali udział funkcjonariusze z kilku województw. – Istotnym elementem tego seksualnego biznesu było działające we Wrocławiu call center. Zatrudnione tam osoby zajmowały się umieszczaniem ogłoszeń w internecie. W tym miejscu każdego dnia zbierano setki zamówień na seksusługi i spotkania towarzyskie. Centrala zarządzała pracą prostytutek w całej Polsce, wysyłając do nich umówionych mężczyzn. Także do Wrocławia regularnie trafiał całodzienny utarg – podał Borowiak.
Rzecznik powiedział, że do policyjnego aresztu trafiła 35-letnia kobieta, która założyła i nadzorowała „firmę”. Zatrzymano także sześć kobiet zatrudnionych w call center. W ręce policjantów wpadł też 32-letni ochroniarz i windykator, u którego znaleziono broń palną. Policjanci wkroczyli jednocześnie do 50 agencji towarzyskich i obiektów, w których przebywały osoby podejrzane. Zabezpieczono gotówkę, biżuterię, broń palną, narkotyki i setki telefonów komórkowych służących w prowadzeniu seks biznesu.
