Tropical Storm Gonzalo became the first storm forecast to become a hurricane this season.
Either way, this storm is still at least a week away from getting close to Mexico or the United States and will be tracked carefully as it moves into the Caribbean. Gonzalo is the earliest “G” storm to form in the Atlantic in recorded history, following suit with what’s already been a record start to the 2020 Hurricane Season.
