According to a blog post by YouTube, users now spend 1 billion hours every day watching videos on the online video service. This is a 10-fold increase compared to 2012, recording 100 million views.
In what seems to be an incredible milestone, online video service YouTube has revealed that its users are now watching 1 billion hours of video on its website, as well as the mobile app.
In the latest blog post by Cristos Goodrow, Vice President of Engineering at YouTube, the achievement « represents the enjoyment of the fantastically diverse videos that creative people make every single day. » He explains even further:
Moreover, reaching 1 billion views in a single day is a giant leap from its 2012 statistics, which only recorded about 100 million views, according to an email to Adweek.
