Russia Denies Report on S-400 Missile Deliveries to China

The Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) brushed off report on Tuesday that it started delivering the S-400 surface-to-air missile systems to China, saying the delivery contract is « in strict accordance with its terms and conditions. «

« The deliveries will be made within the deadlines secured in the relevant documents, » Maria Vorobyeva, spokesperson for FSMTC, said.
The statement comes a day after a Russian lawmaker told media that the S-400 supplies are getting underway to China. Vladimir Gutenev later clarified to online media that the S-400 were not on the delivery phase but rather on the production stage.
FSTMC also said that the S-400 Triumf delivery contract to China is expected to be accomplished by the end of the decade.
