Rising country singer Morgan Wallen chatted with Digital Journal about his new single « The Way I Talk, » which was released on Big Loud Records. He continued, « It’s a big blessing. Five years ago, I had never even been to Nashville and now I’m living there and now I’m having songs on country radio and I get to tour with people that I look up to. It’s really incredible, and I try to take it day by day. I try to take in every milestone that I can and realize how big of a blessing it in. I’m loving ever minute of it. » Wallen’s five-track EP was produced by Joey Moi, who has worked with such artists as Florida Georgia Line and Chris Lane. « He’s a genius. He knows how to put every part together, and we tried really hard to make every part memorable, musically and vocally. It has been a real blast working with him. We get along really well, and we’ve actually been in the studio a couple of times working on new music, and I’m really looking forward to that, » he said. Each day, Wallen is motivated by his love for music. « When I was growing up, I focused on baseball and I put a lot of my time in that, but after I took music more seriously that’s where all of my love went, » he said. « I try to make a better life for me and for my family. One day, hopefully, I want my parents to not have to worry about anything anymore. » This summer, Wallen will be touring with Florida Georgia Line on their « Smooth Tour. » « We’re going to be out there with them in June, and it’s going to be fun, » he said. Rolling Stone named him as one of « 10 New Country Artists You Need to Know. » « That was pretty crazy, since Rolling Stone is a legendary magazine. That was really special to me, and I try to take in every milestone and accolade and realize how blessed I am to be doing this, » he said.
