Man and motorcycle had been thrown into woods by the force of the impact
LENOX TWP. — A Casco Township man was killed early Tuesday in a crash on County Line Road near Middle Lane at Americana Estates mobile home community.
According to a news release from the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, the man was 24 years old and operating a motorcycle.
Deputies were dispatched to the scene at about 5: 56 a.m. A caller said there was a damaged vehicle on County Line Road with its airbags deployed.
Deputies found the driver of the vehicle, a 19-year-old man from New Baltimore, in the woods just past the west shoulder of County Line Road. He was disoriented and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

They found a motorcycle and its driver south of the vehicle, also in the woods. The 24-year-old Casco Township man was deceased, and the motorcycle had heavy damage.
According to the news release, it appeared the man had not been wearing a helmet.
Macomb County deputies are continuing to investigate the accident.
