Fort Pierce motorcyclist killed in crash Monday night

The motorcycle hit a trailer being backed onto Juanita Avenue.
FORT PIERCE — A 49-year-old motorcyclist died in a two-vehicle crash at 11: 37 p.m. Monday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Ralph Keith was driving west on Juanita Avenue when his motorcycle hit a trailer being backed onto the roadway.
Keith « failed to see this (the trailer) ,  » according to a FHP report.
The collision threw both Keith and a passenger, Shawana Barron, 31, of Fort Pierce, off the motorcycle. Barron was taken to the Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in serious condition.

There were no injuries to the driver and passenger of a truck that was being used to back the trailer out of a driveway, according to the report.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
