We knew this day would be coming, and it sure did shake Iowans who tried to score seats to « Hamilton » next year.
It has been a long time coming — since April 2016, to be exact — for Iowans to get their tickets for the mega-popular « Hamilton » musical in Des Moines next year.
The anticipation and anxiety has been brewing far too long. The excitement could no longer be contained.
These are the four stages Iowans experienced Friday when trying to score « Hamilton » tickets:
Fans started lining up as early as 6 p.m. Thursday — 15 hours ahead of when tickets would be available for sale at 9 a.m. Friday.
Braving mid-30-degree temperatures on a November day in Iowa is no easy task, and the line of hundreds grew bigger as the (ticket) window of opportunity got closer.
